Mas des Mas Minervois - Jean Claude

The Jean Claude Mas red appears deep red, almost black in colour with a mix of red and black fruit in abundance, accompanied with spice and black pepper on the nose. The palate is full and soft with blackberry fruit, dried black cherry and fetching amounts of redcurrant, all locked in with warm peppery spice and hints of herbs, finishing driven with loads of lasting rich dark peppery fruits. An excellent Minervois that should be allowed to open and would be best served with grilled ribs, soft cheeses and even a chocolate dessert.
