Chateau Paul Mas Clos des Savignac

The Chateau Paul Mas Clos des Savignac appears almost black with an exuberance of complex toasted oak, rich black fruit, violet and cocoa on the nose. The palate overloads with ripe blackberry fruits, hints of dark chocolate, clove and vanilla, sweet scented spice with notes of coffee, finishing velvety soft and full with complex spice and underlying liquorice. A really excellent red that requires breathing 1-2 hours, will get even better with age and would be best served with grilled meats, lamb and strong cheeses.
