Established by Stephen Murphy in 2014, The Old Carrick Mill Distillery is located in Ireland's ancient east at Derrylavin, Carrickmacross, County Monaghan. The distillery is an old flour mill, which dates back to 1790 and is home to two deep spring water wells. The first product to be produced is the award winning Old Carrick Gin, with plans in place, to distil an Irish Whiskey 'Rogues Reserve Barrel', matured in 50 350Lt Ex-Chateau Magnol Bordeaux oak barrels.

Small Batch Irish Gin

The County Monaghan, Carrickmacross gin, is distilled in an old flour mill, produced in small 500lt batches, using 9 different botanicals, the gin is then filtered and cut down using natural limestone spring water, drawn from one of two wells found at the distillery, finally the spirit is allowed to rest for two weeks, prior to bottling.

​Nose – Upfront Juniper nestled with hints of pear and cucumber, underlying citrus.
Palate – Clean and smooth with pronounced juniper, herbal and zippy, lasting pear with subtle cucumber.
Finish – Long and fresh with lasting pear and cucumber.
