Hakusku Distillery is Suntory’s second distillery, established in 1973; the distillery is one of the highest in the world. Located amidst the forests of Mt. Kaikomagatake in the Japanese southern Alps. The Hakusku 12 year old blends a batch of unpeated whisky with a heavy peated whisky, both distilled at Hakushu distillery and with the same type of Malt. The blended whisky is then aged further in Mizunara Oak, American oak and Spanish Sherry Casks for a minimum of 12 years.

The Yamazaki distillery is Japan’s oldest, established in 1923 by Suntory’s founder Shinjiro Torii. Located in the Vale of Yamazaki at the foot of Mt. Tennozan, where three rivers meet, Katsura, Uji and Kizu. The whiskey is aged in a combination of Japanese mizunara oak barrels, bourbon casks and sherry casks, bamboo charcoal filtered and bottled at 43% abv. The 12 year old appears pure gold with cinnamon and honey, interwoven with orange, peach and vanilla on the nose.
