Tussock Jumper | Sourced from Eleven Different Countries

Established in 2009, The Tussock Jumper wine range was created by the company 'Wineforces'. Located in France, the group of wine enthusiast's source grape from established wineries in eleven different countries, with an animal native to the said country on the label. The winery chosen not only produces the wine to the highest standards but bottles the wine at the origin. Within the range, they have a zinfandel from central valley in California, a Shiraz from South Eastern Australian, a Riesling from Rheinhessen in Germany and an Argentinian Malbec from San Juan, to mention a few.

The grapes for the Argentinian Cabernet were harvested in early March, from high altitude vineyards, within the Valle de Tulum, San Juan Wine Region. The wine producing region is divided into three, Tulum Valley, Pedernal Valley and the Zonda Valley. The region is almost desert and gains water from the ice melt of the Andes, filtered through the region by the Jachel and San Juan rivers.

The fruit for the Argentinian TJ Malbec were sourced from vineyards 650 meters above sea level, Caucete District in the Tulum Valley of greater San Juan. The grapes were harvested by hand and transported to Bodegas Callia, where they were pressed, fermented, matured and bottled at the Winery. The rich red appears bright ruby red with an abundance of ripe red fruit, mingled with spice and warm oak on the nose.

The winery used for the German Riesling is located within the Mosel region, which forms part of the larger Rheinhessen, Germany's largest wine region. Situated on the low-lying soils along the banks, the harvested grape is fermented in stainless steel, and allowed to rest for 3 months, prior to bottling. The resulting sweet white appears yellow with generous citrus, accompanied by fetching tropical fruits, minerality and spice on the nose.
