Tasting Note from Fairley's Wines ...
The Red House Alexander vs The Ham Factory Crianza appears deep garnet with violet highlights, savoury black fruit mingled with roasted mocha, hints of cocoa and seasoned resinous oak on the nose. The palate is opulent and voluptuous with spiced blackcurrant fruit, ripe raspberry, liquorice and undertones of mulberry, finishing full and long with savoury oak and underlying cocoa. An excellent full bodied red that will get even better with age, 5-7 years. Please allow to breathe and even decant and would be best served with Roasts, Poultry, Veal and even goats cheese.
