Description for the Celeste Tinta Fino Crianza ...
Located in the enclave of Alto Otero, in the heart of Rioja Alavesa wine region, the family owned winery is adjacent to the town of Labastida. The fruit is sourced by hand in mid-October and fermented in stainless steel tanks for approximately 7 days and then aged in French and American oak barrels for 12 months, all prior to bottle aging for 12 months before release.
Tasting Note from Fairley's Wines | 2014 ...
The Ibericos appears cherry red with aromas of spiced red fruit and somewhat smoky on the nose. The palate if allowed to open is intense with oaked rich plum and dark spiced cherry fruit, grippy tannins and full, finishing powerful with lasting red spicy fruit and smoky. Please allow to open and possibly decant (1hour). Would be perfect with tapas, oily fish and strong cheeses. The Crianza with get even better with age 2-7 Years.
