Chardonnay 2014 Description ...
The fruit for the Jordan Estate Barrel Fermented Chardonnay is sourced from 11-29 year old vines on cool south and east facing vineyards, 250-310m above sea level. The wine contains a variety of chardonnay clones planted on different slopes, harvested at different ripening levels and fermented and matured in a selection of 1st, 2nd and 3rd fill Nevers and Burgundian oak barrels, only a small portion was fermented in stainless steel.

The Jordan Estate Barrel Fermented Chardonnay appears golden in colour with notes of citrus mingled with toasted oak and integrated fruit aromas on the nose. The palate is bold with an array of oak flavours, honeyed apricot and caramel apple, creamy with lemon biscuit and overripe oranges finishing clean and fresh with lingering oak and cashew. Best served with creamy pasta meat dishes and seafood. Allow to open in the glass and do not over chill.
