Description for the Bradgate Cabernet Merlot 2014 ...
Named after the family home, the GJK Bradgate range of wines use only the classic grape varieties that the Stellenbosch Region has to offer. Produced from the Jordan family estate from vines aged 9-23 years, on north and east facing slopes. The Syrah proportion is located on a single west facing vineyard overlooking Cape Town and Table Mountain.
Tasting Note from Fairley's Wines ...
The Bradgate Cabernet Merlot appears almost black in colour with peppery black fruit, tingled with savoury red fruit spice on the nose. The palate is loaded with ripe spicy blackcurrant, velvety rich plum, soft tannins jammed with peppery spice, finishing long and rich with hints of mint. Best served with pizza and meat based pasta, allow to open in the glass and best consumed within 3-5 years.
