Fruit for the Astrolabe Province Pinot noir was sourced from 5 different family owned vineyards, including the Astrolabe Farm Vineyard, all located within 4 different areas of the Marlborough wine region, Brancott Valley, Kekerengu Coast, Waihopai and Wairau valley. The fruit was harvested by hand between middle March and mid April, fermented in open top vats and finally age in French oak barriques for 10 months.

The Babich Henderson Valley Vineyard was established by Josip Babich in 1919, adjacent to the Waitakere Ranges. The Henderson valley forms a district within the Auckland wine region, one of six districts. The parcels of fruit were fermented separately in open vats with frequent plunging for gentle extraction of colour and tannin. The wine was then blended and aged for 9 months in French oak barrels.

The fruit for the Chardonnay is sourced from Babich Irongate Vineyard, in the stony soils of Hawke's Bay southern Gimblett gravels district. The wine district was formed on what used to be part of the Ngaruroro River bed, one of five rivers that form New Zealand's Hawke's bay. The Ngaruroro River Valley has four distinct elevated terraces, Riverview, Crownthorpe, Matapiro and Mangatahi, producing French style ....

Hawke's Bay is located in New Zealand's wine producing North Island, with a high percentage of vineyards planted in and around Hastings and Napier. The region is divided into 12 districts, all located within the 5 river valleys, which offer protection from the cooler Pacific Ocean breezes. Babich Irongate Vineyard is located within Gimblett Gravels, which formed part of the Ngaruroro River bed.

The Babich Gimblett Gravels Syrah is produced in New Zealand's North Island, Hawkes Bay region, in the estate owned Irongate Vineyard in Gimblett Gravels. The grapes are harvested Mid-April, gently pressed and passed with skins in contact to stainless steel tanks, the wine is then run off to barrel and aged for 11 months, prior to blending a small portion of Viognier is added. The fruit for the Babich Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc is sourced from several vineyards throughout Marlborough's Valleys, Awatere, Waihopai and Wairau Valley's. The Cowslip Vineyard is found in Marlborough's Waihopai Valley, western end of the Wairau Valley, some 100m above sea level and 18 miles from the coast. The fruit for the Pinot noir was hand-picked from the family vineyard, using traditional methods of winemaking, the parcels of fruit were fermented in open vats. The resulting macerated wine was further aged in new and old oak for 10 months.

Gewurztraminer spiritual ground is found both in Alsace, Eastern France and in Germany's Pfalz region. The wines here have a high natural sugar content and are pink skinned with the fuller wine found in Alsace, whereas in Pfalz the wine tends to be lighter. New Zealand seems to have settled somewhere in between and they are producing some great examples of Gewurztraminer, with Lawson's Dry Hills being one.

The grapes for the Sauvignon Blanc were sourced from six different Marlborough vineyards from the Waihopai Valley to Chaytors road in the coastal Lower Wairau Valley and over to the Awatere Valley. Marlborough wine region is located in New Zealand's northeast side of the south Island and is divided into three sub-regions, the Southern Valleys, Wairau valley and Awatere Valley. The region is responsible for approximately 80% of New Zealand's output, especially Sauvignon Blanc. Its combination of river beds, valleys and hills, as well as different meso-climates, makes perfect growing conditions for such a grape.

Ten Rocks is Part of the Lawson's Dry Hills stable, with the fruit sourced from three different areas within Marlborough's Parallel valleys - Lower Wairau and Awatere, as well as Omaka Valley, right in the heart of Marlborough. The Awatere Valley is the smaller of the two Marlborough sub-regions, running parallel with the east coast. A proportion of fruit is sourced from the Awatere Valleys special Medway Vineyard, located around the township of Seddon.
