Description for the Prugnolo Gentile Merlot Blend ...
The La Braccesca Estate is located Tuscany, between the towns of Cortona and Montepulciano and has 508 hectares of vineyard, covering two different appellations, Vino Nobile Di Montepulciano and Cortona. The Sangiovese grape was sourced from the 103 hectares of vineyard within the sub-region of Noble di Montepulciano and aged for 12 months in large barrels, prior to bottling.
Tasting Note from Fairley's Wines | 2015 ...
The Sangiovese blend appears deep ruby red with an exuberance of vanilla coated black fruit, locked in with notes of violet. The palate overwhelms with blackberry and blackcurrant, spiced with underlying vanilla, finishing full and round with minerality and great persistence. Allow to breathe 1-2hrs and would be best served with red meat and even meat ball spaghetti.. Excellent.
