Rose Aurore 2013 Description ...
The Cote Mas has a regional classification of Pays d'Oc which covers Languedoc-Roussillon, the most voluminous of the six regional Vin de Pays. The wine region spans the Mediterranean coastline from the border with Spain to the region of Provence and is the single biggest wine producing region in the world. The fruit for the Cote Mas was de-stemmed and each parcel was vinified separately. After pneumatic pressing only the free run juice is used for the wine, with fermentation taking place in stainless steel over a three week period and with further ageing occurring on the lees for another 40 days in new coated cemented vats.
Fairley's Wines Tasting Note ...
The Rose appears light pink with concentrated red fruit, some spice and underlying citrus fruit character on the nose. The palate is full and soft with red cherries and sweet strawberry, clean and lively, finishing balanced with hints of ripe raspberry. Do not over chill and would be ideal as an aperitif or with salad. Consume young within 2-3 years.
