Les Freres Laffitte is in South-West France and centred around the village of Ayzieu, with the vineyards on the surrounding hills. The estate is currently under the control of brothers Christophe and Sebastien who have transformed the winery and produce two wine ranges, Domaine Laffitte and Le Petit Gascoun. They started with 20 hectares and now grow 120 hectares of grape, including varieties such as, Cabernet franc, Tannat, Ugni Blanc and Colombard, to mention a few.

The vineyards for the Gascoun Rouge are located on the family estate, located in the Gers department Gascony. The fruit was harvested at night, transported to the winery macerated and pressed, prior to fermentation and then allowed to rest on the Lees for several weeks before blending and bottling. The Laffitte Rouge appears garnet red with ripe red fruit, accompanied with other candied fruit on the nose.
