Description for the Rouge ...

A rare and unique vintage that will be remembered by the winemakers of Chateauneufdu-Pape for years. After an abundant budding, the vintage seemed to be generous, but it was underestimating on the vagaring of Spring, which turned out to be extremely rainy, with more than 300 mm of precipitation in April and May.

Tasting Note from Fairley’s Wines | 2018 ...

The Cotes du Rhone Rouge appears a deep purple color with rubis reflections, delicate on the nose with red fruits, blackberry, gooseberry and pyrenees cherry. The palate displays unctuous and dynamic with nice tannins accompanied by aromas of cherries and blackcurrant jam, finishing with a nice freshness. Best served with andouillettes roasted, stuffed eggplants and seasoned ham terrine.
