Description for the Burgundy Rouge ...
The parcels of fruit were harvested from a variety of vines within the commune, including 3 Premier Cru, En Sazenay, Champs-Martin and Clos L’Eveque. The resulting wine was aged in Burgundian 228Lt French Oak Barrels and Stainless Steel for a period of 12 months with the oak sourced from the Vosges Forest and Allier.
Tasting Note from Fairley's Wines | 2016 ...
The Pinot Noir appears dark ruby red with seductive spiced red fruits, locked in with vanilla on the nose. The palate opens structured with spiced black cherry and creamy strawberry, soft tannins, finishing complex and disciplined with even more ripe red fruits. An excellent red that should be allowed open and will get even better with age 3-5 years. Best served with pork chops, sausages and cheeses.
