Review for the 2015 Coastal Sauvignon Blanc ...
The fruit for the EQ Sauvignon Blanc were harvested by hand in late March and sourced from the Valle Hermoso Vineyard, northern Rosario valley, in the Casablanca Valley. The Rosario Valley straddles both San Antonio and the Casablanca valleys and in this case the vineyard is located only 5 miles from the Pacific Ocean and the influences of the Humboldt current, making the Casablanca valley one of the coolest wine producing regions in Chile.
Tasting Note from Fairley's Wines ...
The Coastal Sauvignon Blanc appears yellow with green tints, youthful with particularly fetching citrus and tropical fruit, locked in with fresh grass and a touch of herb on the nose. The palate overloads with voluptuous mango and papaya fruit, zesty lime with a hint of grapefruit, balanced with minerality and mouth filling with eucalyptus, finishing lively with even more herbal tones and citrus. An Excellent Sauvignon with great depth and freshness and please do not over chill. Best served with oysters and different seafood's or even on its own.
