Tasting Note from Fairley's Wines ...

The Estate Syrah displays a brilliant deep ruby red with a concentration of red and black fruit character, seductive liquorice with a hint of smoke on the nose. The palate is full with great structure, ripe raspberry and black cherry at the forefront, interwoven with soft but firm tannins, fresh acidity with rocky earthiness, finishing complex with aromatic intensity and undertones of herbs. Excellent Syrah which requires 1-2 hours breathing, consume young 3-5 years. Best served with BBQ meat, roast beef or on its own.
