Fairley's Wines Tasting Note ...

The wine appears deep garnet and bright, with layers of red and black fruit, mingled with violet, mint and leafy aromatics, subtle spicy oak accompanied with an almost textured earthiness. The palate is a spectrum of tightly woven fruit, such as cassis, plum, and even blueberry, gritty and spicy with liquorice, comes across medium bodied, with velvety soft tannins. The High Trellis displays a wonderful array of varietal characters that would be best served with Sunday lunch roast beef. The wine needs to breathe and decanting would be recommended. Cellar up to 10 years.
