Fairley's Wines Tasting Note ...

The result a medium bodied deep garnet with purple edges appearance, that displays an abundance of black fruit, perfumed with hints of clove, generous plum, ripe peach and dried leafy bouquet that really is intense but suggests youthfulness. The palate is complex and full with juicy soft mouth-filling blackcurrants, blackberries and ripe black cherry, expressive white pepper and oak. Almost fat and warm, finishing cool and light with some cedar and mineral, clean with fresh plum that lingers to the end. A complicated wine that has something completely different added every time you take a sip. The Laughing Magpie should benefit greatly from aging up to a period of 10 years and I would decant and allow at least 2 hours to breathe before consumption. Best served with cheese- Brie or Pork mignon.
