Description for the Mendoza Malbec ...
The Malbec for the Tapestry Red was farmed from three different vineyards within the Uco Valley, Los Nogales Estate, Vistaflores and San Pablo Estate. The fruit has been harvested from altitudes of between 1000 and 1350 meters above sea-level, fermented in stainless steel tanks and matured in a combination of 2nd and 3rd fill French and American oak barrels for 8 months, prior to estate bottling.
Fairley's Wines Tasting Note ...
The rich Mendoza red appears purple with red hints, aromas of red spiced fruit mingled with vanilla and dark chocolate on the nose. The palate is loaded with sweet plum and dried cherry fruit, spiced with velvety soft tannins, interwoven with hints of blueberry, finishing full of mouthcoating dark chocolate and creamy vanilla. An excellent entry Malbec, which should be allowed to open in the glass and would be best served with peppered steak, strong cheeses and even lamb.
