The parcels of fruit are handpicked from 30 year old vines, with fermentation taking place over a 10 day period. The winery itself was founded in 1920 and lies at the foot of the Andes, in the heart of Mendoza, Perdriel district, Lujan de Cuyo department.

The Malbec for the Tapestry Red was farmed from three different vineyards within the Uco Valley, Los Nogales Estate, Vistaflores and San Pablo Estate. The fruit has been harvested from altitudes of between 1000 and 1350 meters above sea-level, fermented in stainless steel tanks and matured in a combination of 2nd and 3rd fill French and American oak barrels for 8 months, prior to estate bottling.
