The parcels of fruit for the D'Alix Rouge were sourced from 21 hectares of vines, located on the left bank of the Garonne in the Pessac Leognan AOC. The fruit from the 5 year old vines were harvested by both hand and mechanical means, with fermentation carried out in stainless steel, followed by 3-4 week maceration, before being aged in French oak barrels for 12 months.

The fruit for the Chateau Macquin were sourced from vines aged between 15-60 years, found in the smallest of the saint Emilion satellites, Libournais – Bordeaux. The zone is found on the northern right bank of the Dordogne River, just north of the greater Saint Emilion and is named after the village of Saint George. The vineyard dates back to 1885 and is currently owned by Dennis-Corre Macquin, grandson of founder Francois Albert Macquin.
