Located at the gateway to the Scottish Highlands, in the town of Pitlochry, Perthshire, Blair Athol distillery sits. The Allt Dour Burn runs from the hills surrounding Pitlochry, to the site of the distillery. Established in 1798, by John Stewart and Robert Robertson, the distillery was acquired and re-opened by Arthur Bell & Sons in 1933. The 1998 decanter depicts the importance of water and the elements it travels through, from the clear springs, down over granite, through peat and heather moors of the Scottish highlands and lowlands.
