1966 Vintage Port Description ...
The Graham's 1966 Vintage Port was the last vintage declared before the acquisition of Graham's by Symington family in 1970, nearly 100 years after A J Symington left Graham's to establish himself on his own as a Port producer. The Symington family combine the two Graham's Vineyards, Quinta Dos Malvedos and Quinta Das Larges, with two of their own, Quinta Do Vale De Malhadas and Quinta Da Vila Velha to produce some of the best vintages available with the Graham's Vintage Port label. Three of which are located in the Douro Valley's Cima Corgo Sub-Region and the other in the Douro Superior.
Wine Advocate 1989 - Robert Parker - Graham's 1966 Vintage Port ...
"The 1966, which I originally thought quite mediocre, has developed beautifully in the bottle and is a much finer vintage port than I suspected. It should be drunk now as it is not likely to get any better."
Fairley's Anticipated Maturity: 2000-2030. Robert Parker's Score: 88 / 100
