1977 Vintage Port Description ...
The fruit for the Dow's 1977 Vintage Port was sourced primarily from Dow's very own Quinta do Bomfim and Senhora da Ribeira, with Bomfim acquired by Dow's in 1896. The river Quinta has south facing exposure with an altitude of 120 to 340 metres and the vines age anywhere from 20 to 40 years. Situated within the Douro Valley's Cima Corgo sub-region, its location in the heart of the Douro, offers a combination of both Temperate and Mediterranean influences, due to its proximity to the Atlantic Ocean and the Spanish hinterland.
