Wine Advocate 1995 - Robert Parker - Dow's 1991 Vintage Port ...

"The firmly-structured, moderately tannic, impressively colored and concentrated 1991 [Dow's] Vintage Port is less precocious and more reserved than the 1992 Quinta do Bomfim Vintage Port. It may develop along the lines of the stern but powerful 1977. The wine offers a classic display of black fruits, licorice, and chocolate aromas and flavors, as well as a full-bodied, muscular style with considerable tannin and firmness. Give it 10-12 years of cellaring and drink it over the following 30+."

Anticipated Maturity: 2005-2037.          Robert Parker's Score: 90 / 100
