The Powers John's Lane Distillery was established in 1791 by James Power and continued to operate until 1974, when Irish Distillers Group moved the operation to the newly built site, adjacent to the Old Midleton Distillery. Using a Pot Still Distillate true to The Powers John's Lane Distillery style, the Powers John's Lane Release Aged 12 Years is aged predominately in 1st Fill Bourbon Barrels, with a small percentage matured in Spanish Oloroso Sherry Butts.

The resulting Pot Still Whiskey bursting with earthy aromas, toffee, leather and dark chocolate, as well as layers of charred oak and tobacco on the nose. The taste opens full with creamy vanilla spice, dried stone fruit and ginger, finishing creamy with honey and lasting pot still spice.
