Sherry Finish Description ...

The base ingredients of malted barley and Irish sugar beet are double distilled in a copper pot still and the resulting Poitin is cut with Fresh Wicklow Mountain Water and then matured in Virgin Irish Oak to form the Glendalough Premium Poitin, from here it is passed to ex-sherry casks for a period of time, giving it extra depth and flavour.

Glendalough Distillery Tasting Note ...

Nose - "The nose this time, is a little sweeter and fruitier. A blueberry wine sweetness, and a faint zest of orange peel."
Palate - "The taste is thicker and hangs on the middle of the tongue, with a touch of dried apricots. The cracked pepper, vanilla and toasty oak come through."
Finish - "The finish lingers a little longer, with less of that saltiness. Warming finish with more vanilla oils and berry fruit."
