Dunville's 20 Year Old Oloroso & PX Sherry Casks Finish

The influence of the twin sherry casks, deep dry Oloroso and juicy sweet Pedro Ximénez is just so wonderfully balanced. Robust, chewy and rich, with initial notes of stewed pears, overly ripened soft red apples, candied orange peel, dark chocolate and Kirsch soaked Black Forest Gateau. Then raisins, prunes, apricot, roasted nuts. Think Christmas pudding drizzled in fig syrup, giving way to an array of warming winter spices, liquorice, stem ginger, clove, nutmeg and cinnamon, all caressed in old leather, cocoa and wonderful dark syrupy muscovado treacle.

​Oloroso PX is a new expression for the Single Cask Series, which is already known for its award winning PX Cask Strength, Palo Cortado Sherry Finish and Port Mourant Rum Finish whiskeys. This latest release is also the first 20 year old whiskey and the eldest age statement in the Dunville’s portfolio.
