Bushmills 1608 was released in 2008 to celebrate 400 Years of distilling; with the blended whiskey using three types of whiskey; the tripled distilled malted whiskey, in combination with a lighter grain whiskey, as well as malt produced from Crystal Malt and then finally matured in two woods, Oloroso sherry and Bourbon casks.

Nose - "Rich, dense, concentrated and enticing. Raisins, fir honey."
Palate - "Distinctly sweet but balanced. Reveals great depth and weight behind a soft mouth-feel. Touch of vanilla, toasted almonds. Gentle spiciness."
Finish - "Long and lingering on toffee and dark chocolate."

The spirit is aged in Handpicked Ex-Bourbon Barrels and Flame Charred by Cooper Alastair and Chris Kane, four generations of coopers connected directly to the Old Bushmills Distillery Cooperage, dating back to 1935.

Nose - "Light fruity and spicy aroma. Vanilla note, developing into vanilla ice cream and crème brulée."

Nose - "Lighter amber in colour with distinct floral notes, accompanied with green apple and hints of melon."
Palate - "Opening with dried fruits, fresh honeyed vanilla oak and touches of nutmeg."
Finish - "Long and dry with lashings fruit and oak."
