Butterfly Pea Blue Magic Description ...
The Blue Magic Gin uses a 70% wheat, 30% rice base neutral spirit, slowly distilled along with 11 different botanicals in two 300lt copper pot stills. The gin gets its colour from a flower named Clitoria Ternatea, commonly known as the butterfly pea. You add tonic and the liquid turns pink. Each botanical has a completely different maceration period, and each is distilled separately, with the cinnamon infused last.
Fairley's Wines | Tasting Note ...
Nose - "Upfront red fruits, with juniper and backward ginger."
Palate - "Spiced citrus with raspberry and underlying strawberry, refined juniper, with a hint of liquorice."
Finish - "Long and fresh with lashing juniper, followed by even more spiced berry fruit."
Perfect Serve - I part Blue Magic / Glass filled with ice / Add a slice of Orange with squeezed lemon / Topped up with a good Tonic – It Turns Pink!!!
