Mediterranee 2013 Description ...
Jean Claude Mas took over the helm of the family owned estate in 2000 and has since grown the winery from 86 acres to 1000 acres of vine. The parcels of fruit used for the Cote Mas Blanc come from several locations within the Languedoc-Roussillon region and were vinified separately with fermentation taking place in stainless steel over a three week period. It is only the free run juice and first press that are used and blended to form the cote mas blanc.
Fairley's Wines Tasting Note ...
The wine appears medium lemon with intense stone fruit character, enhanced by some green fruit and notes of citrus on the nose. The palate is vibrant with succulent peach and pear, clean and fresh, finishing balanced with hints of grapefruit and some underlying lime. Best served with fish and chicken dishes and consume young within 2-3 years. Do not over chill.
