Bunny Porter Description ...
Brewed with pale malt and a couple of dark, roasted malts. The hops aren’t at the forefront with this beer, they are used judiciously and are subtle in character, almost secretive so perhaps we’ll keep them that way!
Co-Operative Tasting Note ...
There are flavours swimming in each mouthful that you know, but which you can’t quite place – there’s a coffee bitterness, but then a liquorice background comes in shortly after that and just when you are confident that’s all, there appears a faint hint of blackberry. What’s going on? What is sure is that you want another drop, just to see. This Porter is the easy drinking, medium body drink that a Porter should be. It’s almost food in itself, but you know you want to sit a glass of it down next to your plate of pie and mash, or your fish 'n' chips! – three malts used in this to give the depth of roasted caramel, coffee and liquorice. No oats used because we don’t want a body on this. It is a classic modern Porter, light and easy to quaff. Bartender! Another please!
